Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy attended the 52nd Session of the Organization for Railway Cooperation (OSJD) Ministerial Conference

Implementing the 2025 international cooperation plan approved by the Prime Minister, a working delegation of the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy visited and worked in China from June 10-13, 2025 to attend the 52nd Session of the Organization for Railway Cooperation (OSJD) Ministerial Conference.

The meeting focused on implementing the agendas approved by the Ministers and Heads of Delegations, including: (i) OSJD's activities report for 2024; (ii) OSJD's work results on Transport Policy and Railway Transport Strategy, Transport Law in 2024; (iii) Work progress of the Interim Working Group on issues of training and professional training in the field of railway transport; (iv) OSJD's Work Program for 2026 and subsequent years; (v) Discussion of the OSJD Initiative on enhancing cooperation in the field of railway transport...

Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy attended the 52nd Session of the Organization for Railway Cooperation (OSJD) Ministerial Conference.

The conference completed all the agenda programs to further enhance and promote international railway transport activities. Authorizing by the Minister of Construction, Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy signed the Minutes of the 52nd Session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference.

On June 9^th, 2025, in Beijing (China), the delegation had a working session with the National Development and Reform Commission of China under the State Council of China to promote the progress of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project connecting with China. It is a particularly important project that was approved by the National Assembly in the investment policy at the February 2025 session.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy also had a bilateral meeting and working session with comrade An Lo Sinh - Deputy Director of the China National Railway Administration.

On the sidelines of the OSJD Ministerial Conference, on June 11^th, 2025, Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy also had a bilateral meeting and working session with Comrade An Lo Sinh - Deputy Director of the China National Railway Administration to promote cooperation between Vietnam and China in the railway sector. At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the achievements of cooperation in the recent period, especially the promotion of the implementation of Railway Projects connecting Vietnam with China: Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong, Dong Dang - Hanoi, Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hai Phong.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy worked with the National Development and Reform Commission of China.

Both sides expressed satisfaction at the resumption of international passenger train services on the Gia Lam - Nanning railway route via the Dong Dang - Pingxiang border gate in May 2025 after a 5-year hiatus. At the end of the meeting, both sides pledged to continue promoting and accelerating the implementation of railway connection projects pledged by the high-level leaders of the two countries, while also working towards the early conclusion of agreements on railway cooperation in the near future.
