A working delegation from Quang Nam Province led by Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee, held a meeting on May 15 with leaders of the Incheon City Government, the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ), and the Incheon International Airport Corporation.

At the event, IFEZ Commissioner Yoon Won-seok briefed the Vietnamese delegations on the establishment and development of the IFEZ, which is designed and developed to become a global economic hub attracting foreign investment, financial institutions, and high-tech enterprises both domestic and international to promote the overall economic development of the Republic of Korea (RoK).
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Tran Nam Hung expressed special interest in the development model of the Incheon International Airport cluster — one of Asia’s and the world’s leading airports in terms of scale, service quality, and smart urban integration capabilities.
He stressed that Quang Nam wants to learn from RoK’s experiences related to the model and operations of the IFEZ, including preferential policies relating to investment attraction, taxation, as well as expertise in the construction, operation, and management of free economic zones, economic ecosystems, and airport urban clusters.
For his part, Tran Hai Linh, Chairman of the Viet Nam- RoK Business and Investment Association (VKBIA), emphasised that the association is willing to accompany Vietnamese localities in expanding international cooperation, especially in sustainable infrastructure development, logistics, airport urban clusters, free economic zones, and innovation.
He stressed that cooperation with experienced Korean partners such as the Incheon Free Economic Zone and Incheon International Airport Corporation will help Quang Nam become a dynamic regional development centre, especially following its merger with Da Nang.
