Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh had a meeting and worked with Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam, on March 18th.

At the meeting, Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes congratulated comrade Tran Hong Minh to be appointed as the Minister of Construction (after the merger of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport), and also highlighted the growing traditional friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba. In particular, in September 2024, comrade General Secretary and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam paid a high-level visit and worked with leaders of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and People's Government of Cuba.
As the agency in charge of the Vietnamese subcommittee of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee and the Minister of Construction plays the role of Co-Chairman of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee, Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes hopes that in the coming time, Minister Tran Hong Minh and the Ministry of Construction will continue to strongly promote the role of promoting the special traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

According to Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, many Vietnamese and Cuban enterprises are currently promoting cooperation and implementing projects, including Dinvai Vietnam Company. Through the Cuban Embassy to Vietnam, Dinvai Company expressed its desire to expand cooperation and participate in construction and transportation projects, contributing to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two sides.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Tran Hong Minh said that the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba have always been nurtured and developed by the Parties and People of the two countries in all fields, including construction, economy, trade, culture, health, agriculture and tourism.

According to Minister Tran Hong Minh, Vietnam is currently promoting industrialization, modernization of agriculture and rural areas, synchronous development of the transportation system, ports, etc., so the demand for resources is very large. Therefore, the Ministry of Construction always creates conditions for international enterprises, including Cuban enterprises and Dinvai Company, to participate in projects based on their capacity and compliance with current Vietnamese laws.
Minister Tran Hong Minh affirmed that as the agency in charge of the Vietnamese subcommittee of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee, the Ministry of Construction (MoC) has made consistent efforts to facilitate economic, trade, investment and science and technology cooperation between the two nations.
At the end of the working session, Minister Tran Hong Minh and Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes agreed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the Ministry of Construction and the Cuban Embassy to Vietnam, contributing to further developing the special friendly cooperative relationship between the Parties and People of the two countries.
